The optional field ValidationOnly can be used to run the load in validation-only mode.

  • When this flag is set, records will not be loaded, but only validated. Any errors or warnings will be logged in the IOL.

  • This allows for early detection of issues in a load file without affecting the database. It is especially useful for checking a file before a full load, avoiding the need to remove already-loaded records when reprocessing.

Usage Requirements

The flag must be set on all lines in the load file.

Limitations

Validation-only runs may not detect all potential issues. A successful validation does not guarantee a successful load. Always review the file thoroughly before performing an actual load.
